In 2022, the global market for metals, investment coins, and bullion saw significant fluctuations and changes due to a number of global factors.
The volatility of gold prices was noticeable throughout the year, with prices peaking at around $2,070 per ounce in March 2022 amid the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine and related geopolitical risks. This was followed by a decline in prices in the second half of the year due to the strengthening US dollar and increase in interest rates by the Federal Reserve.
