Series: The American Eagle

Series History: The American Eagle series to investment coins is issued by the United States Mint. These coins began to be issued in 1986 in response to the growing interest of investors in bullion coins backed by precious metals. The American Eagle issue program includes gold, silver, platinum and palladium coins, each with unique features and designs.
The American Eagle gold coin is one of the most popular gold coins in the world. The coin is minted from an alloy with a gold content of 91.67%, which corresponds to 22 karats. - Obverse: The obverse side of the coin depicts Lady Liberty holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing peace and freedom. This design is based on the classic Augustus Saint-Gaudens design used on the $10 coin from 1907 to 1933. - Reverse: The reverse side features eagles, with a male eagle carrying an olive branch to a nest containing a female eagle and her young. This design symbolizes family and protection.
The American Eagle silver coin is also extremely popular and is the only silver coin denominated in $1. - Obverse: The obverse design is based on the popular Walking Liberty coin by Adolph Weinman, which was used from 1916 to 1947. Liberty is depicted in a flowing gown, walking toward the morning sun, with branches of laurel and oak. - Reverse: An eagle with outspread wings, holding an olive branch and shield in its beak - this design was designed by John Mercanti until 2021.
American Eagle coins are renowned for their high liquidity and recognition in the international investment community. They are easily bought and sold around the world, making them an excellent choice for investors and collectors alike.
