Series: Czech Lion

Series history: The Czech Lion series of investment coins is issued by the Czech Mint and is the first series of investment coins produced in the Czech Republic. This series has attracted the attention of investors and collectors due to its high-quality performance and patriotic themes that reflect the history and culture of the Czech Republic. The first coin of this series was introduced in 2017.
The obverse of the coins traditionally depicts the symbols of the issuing state - Niue, a small island country in the Pacific Ocean.
The obverse features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions "Elizabeth II", "Niue Island", the nominal value of the coin and the year of issue.
The reverse of the coins depicts the main symbol of the Czech Republic – a two-tailed lion with a crown, which is the heraldic symbol of the Czech Republic.
Other symbols of Czech history and culture, such as the Hussite shield or the Holy Wenceslas Crown, may also be depicted on the reverse.
The inscription "Czech Republic" is usually placed under the image.
The coins are made of high-quality gold and silver.The gold coins have a sample of 999.9 (24 carats). Silver coins have a sample of 999. Gold coins are available in various weight categories: 1 ounce (31.1 g), 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce and 1/10 ounce. Silver coins are usually issued in 1 ounce weight, although larger sizes such as 5 ounces are also found.
Many issues of the Czech Lion coins have limited editions, which increases their collectible and investment value.
